第１３回ディジタル信号処理シンポジウム

ディジタル信号処理は今日では科学，工学のみならず，経済学，医学，考古学，地球物理学などにおいても必要不可欠な基礎技術の一つになっています．従来の
フーリエ変換に基づく信号処理技法に加えて，新たにウェーブレット変換を用い
る幾つかの技法が開発されつつあり，信号処理の分野は最近極めて大きな広がり
を見せてきています．毎年，秋に開催されるディジタル信号処理シンポジウムは，日本におけるディジタル信号処理に関する会合として最も活発なものの一つであり，この分野の研究動向を知る上で重要な研究討論の場となっています．本年も第１３回のシンポジウムを下記の要領で開催致しますので，多くの方々の積極的
な御参加・御発表をお願い致します．

ICASSP-99 TECHNICAL PROGRAM
The IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal
Processing (ICASSP) is the largest and most comprehensive IEEE
conference in the area of signal processing. It encompasses technical
presentations, exhibits, tutorials, panels, and social activities.
ICASSP is among the most prominent annual gatherings for the
international community of signal processing researchers and
practitioners from industry, academia, and government.
ICASSP-99 will be held March 15-19, 1999 in Phoenix, Arizona.

technical program will incorporate papers on all aspects of signal

*ICASSP-99 INDUSTRY DSP TECHNOLOGY FORUM
ICASSP-99 will feature a new industrial forum highlighting industrial
aspects and applications of signal processing. Papers in this

TUTORIAL PROPOSALS
Tutorials will be held on Monday, March 15, 1999. Brief proposals
for
tutorials should be submitted by electronic mail to Tong Zhou,
ICASSP-99 Tutorials Chair, at gtz@ece.gatech.edu before September 14,
1998. These must include a title and outline for the tutorial,
contact information for the presenter, and a description of the
tutorial materials to be distributed to participants. Proposals
may
also present additional information to be considered in the proposal
evaluation, such as relevant experience of the presenter, novelty and
timeliness of the topic, and a description of the target audience.

On behalf of the ICASSP2000 Organizing Committee, I would like to invite you to join us in celebrating the 25th Silver Anniversary of ICASSP and the arrival of a new millennium in Istanbul, Turkey. ICASSP is one of the most prominent annual gatherings for signal processing researchers and practitioners from industry, academia, and government. Next year, this prestigious conference will take place at the Istanbul Hilton Hotel and Convention Center, from Monday, June 5 through Friday, June 9, 2000.
Istanbul, with its rich history and unique beauty, will provide the ideal setting for a memorable conference experience, which we are working on complementing with an outstanding conference program. Neural Computing: New Challenges and Perspectives for the New Millennium
All submissions will be acknowledged by electronic
mail. Papers will be subject to peer review. Authors will be notified of
the decisions by 30 March 2000.
PAPER SUBMISSION: Prospective authors must submit their papers according
to the following guidelines. Submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines
will be returned unreviewed.
Please, read and follow them accurately.
Submitted papers must be in the final version: papers will be published
as submitted without any opportunity for authors' revision. Papers must
be written in English. Papers must be formatted in the 8.5"-by-11" US-letter
paper format, single column, in Times or similar font style, 10 points
or larger with one inch margins on all four sides. Four pages are encouraged;
however, papers must not exceed six pages, including figures, tables, and
references. Centered at the top of the first page should be the complete
title, author name(s), postal and electronic mailing addresses. Page numbers
must not be inserted.
Submission must be performed electronically as follows. Generate the
unencapsulated postscript file of your paper; possibly, compress this file
either with Winzip, Unix Compress, or Unix gzip. Use the last name of the
contact author to name the postscript file and, possibly, the compressed
file; add numerals for submitting more than one paper with the same contact
author. Printed submissions as well as submissions in electronic formats
different from postscript will be returned unreviewed.
Submit your paper by email to ijcnn2000@elet.polimi.it by sending a
submission notice with your compressed postscript file as attachment. In
the submission notice, include ONLY the following information (please,
put one item per line to allow easy automatic processing): full title of
the paper, authors' first and last names, authors' affiliations, technical
area and subarea (first and second choices), keywords, corresponding author
(name, postal, and e-mail addresses, phone and fax numbers), preferred
mode of presentation (oral or poster), and the abstract of your paper.
The submission notice must be in plain ASCII text. Use the name of the
postscript file you submitted as subject of the message. An example of
the submission notice is shown here. Do not include in the paper any information
concerning the contact author, the presentation, or the technical area!
If you have any problem concerning this submission procedure, contact

Papers must be submitted by 15 DECEMBER 1999. All submissions will be acknowledged by electronic mail. Papers will be subject to peer review. Authors will be notified of the decisions by 30 March 2000.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Submission implies the willingness of at least one author to register, attend the symposium, and present the paper. Accepted papers will be published in the proceedings only if the registration form and payment for one of the authors (only member or non-member fees are allowed to this purpose) will be received by 30 April 2000 - no exceptions. One author registration will guarantee publication of at most ONE accepted paper.
